The article from Salon.Com goes into details why gay bloggers are so upset with the DNC and administration. They feel like the President isn't moving fast enough. The article can explain better than I can.

Personally I am getting sick and tired of the complaining directed at the President from the Gay Community. The man has been in office for barely 10 months and everyone seems to think he is a genie that blinks his eyes and things just happen. Patience is required because the President will keep as many promises as he can.

I don't understand why the Gay Community feel their needs are more important than other groups such as African Americans, Caucasian, Latino,Asian and any other groups that I may have left out. Obama already has done more for the Gay Community than any other President in history. I have no doubt that don't ask don't tell will be repealed through congress in time.

It seems like the more the President try to do the more the Gay Community complains. I heard some talk about how they will not give money to the DNC fundraisers, well if I was the President I wouldn't factor that in the equation no matter what group threaten to not contribute. The President needs to do what's right for the country and not even worry about re-election.

The President once said he don't have a problem with occupying the White House for one term. That's the attitude he needs to have so that he is not beholden to any group but to the country. This man cares about all people and will do the right thing but he's also pragmatic. The President often plays poker as it pertains to holding information close to his chest which is a strategy he uses to his advantage. We may not at the time understand why he is or isn't doing something but you can rest assured that he understands.

The President is also a strategic thinker which goes into many of his decisions to get things done on behalf of the country. So I would say to the Gay Community be patience and don't bite the President nose to spite your own face. This man is unique and some of you may say I'll support another Democrat in 2012 well if you do that would be unfortunate but in the end it would be your lost because Obama is working with some jelly belly Dems that don't have the guts to do as much as this President will do.
