That's right I said it stop the madness to all my dems. This article is especially dedicated to Harry Reid who got played by the governor of Illinois. Don't get me wrong by rhetoric because I am not a fan of Rod Blagoevich but I neither an enemy. The problem that I have with what's going on is that the so call leaders such as Harry Reid over played his hand with his not well thought out statements that he made as it pertains to Rod Blagoevich and how he would not allow anyone to fill president-elect Obama vacant senate seat. While I understand Mr. Reid motivation I don't agree with his tactics which are now back firing on him. If the transcript are to be believed referring to the governor of Illinois stating how Obama seat was valuable and that he was not giving it up for nothing than that would justify why the senate would not want any appointment from Rod Blagoevich but at the same time they need to follow the law. Mr. Reid also needs to be careful with the rhetoric that he use such as making a statement how the senate could seat or not seat whomever they choose. When you make such a comment you should properly put it in the context because the average person listening to that comment would naturally think just who does Harry Reid think he is because the last time I checked the people made that decisions outside of specially circumstances such as the one taking place in Illinois.
Keeping It Real-I totally agree. While I can understand Reid's and other Democrats who do not want a Blago pick in the Senate, it is not THEIR place to overturn his pick. Right now, the law is that the Governor is the only one allowed to appoint for the empty seat so Blago had every right to do what he did. Now it was classless and he knew his pick would be attacked but it wasn't illegal. Dem's need to tread lightly and may want to concentrate on some of the problems that are affecting Americans across the country not their own personal dramas.
I totally agree. I watched the interview where Reid did indeed make this comment. I can understand them wanting to make sure they want to keep the Senate above board but at the same time , they need to walk very carefully. I thought that by now there would have been a call for a special election to fill the seat in Illinois.
Am still waiting for Blagoevich to actually have a trial, until then, he's Governor and innocent and his Senator appointment is valid...
So tired of media trials taking precedence over court room trials.
